I’m a huge Pinterest fan, but so many of the best ideas on there require Mod Podge, and being in the UK I thought we couldn’t get it here. WRONG! I found it in hobbycraft – the most obvious place to look. I am beyond excited about all the random stuff I can make with it.
I started with this easy Upcycled Vase.
For my latest project play session I decided to throw a little Easter Party. It’s early, but it’s my last session before easter, and there are just so many fun easter themed craft ideas that I love!
I went to a local party shop and went mad on their easter stock!
I originally made these lovely easy tin can holders for a baby shower I threw on a teeny tiny budget. Since then I’ve used them a lot for a little rustic decoration. They are cheap and easy to make and are a pretty way to recycle old tin cans.
So an amazing friend of mine set up a volunteer group who go into the local hospital 3 times a week to entertain and play with the children who are stuck on the wards. I’ve been a part of this for several months and was recently given the opportunity to take on more responsibility, and start planning and running sessions. It’s actually insanely fun. The kids that we have at these sessions are aged from 0-17, have a variety of abilities, from being bed bound or paralysed to running, screaming and jumping all over the place. This not only makes the sessions challenging, it makes chosing activities for the kids pretty tricky! We always try to have a bunch of activities to suit different abilities and ages and interests.
